Questions we get about Massachusetts
- Does what we have spent on training count toward value?
- Only through what the training produced. A well-trained horse shows it in how it goes, and that's what a buyer pays for. The invoices themselves don't move the number.
- Do you appraise horses leased to a riding program?
- Yes. The lease leaves the horse's value where it was. It does change who owns what, so the report names the owner and the lessee and a donation or an estate is handled correctly.
