Horse appraisal in Arkansas.
From Thoroughbreds to ranch horses, our appraisers know what a horse is worth in Arkansas. Stier Horse is ASEA-certified and has been appraising horses nationwide for years.
Therapeutic riding centers and 4-H clubs around Arkansas take donation horses. If you have a racehorse coming off the track at Oaklawn, we can help you find it a second career.
Questions we get about Arkansas
- Does a claiming price set our horse's value?
- It sets a strong reference point for the date of the race. Value moves with soundness and form afterwards, so we treat a claiming price from last season as the starting point and say how far we moved from it and why.
- What is a retired racehorse worth?
- What the second-career market pays, which is usually a fraction of its racing value. We value it for the job it's going to do next, and a donation appraisal has to reflect that honestly.
